I’ve used 24.10.4 - Build 24.10.0 (241002) on Android 15 (Pixel 7) for a few SOTA activations now, and I’d love to be able to export the log to my Android device and then upload it directly from my device to sotadata.
But I can’t see a way to export the log file to a local directory on my device. Currently I can only share it to an email or Google drive folder, or similar online service. When I click on the Folder icon (among the sharing options), nothing happens. So I have to email it to myself, download it from my email, and then upload to sotadata. That seems like too many steps.
What am I missing to export the log file directly from the app to my device?
OK, I export my logs to a cloud folder e.g. Dropbox, but Google Drive would be the same.
Then I go to Sotadata3
In my device browser - Favourite.
Then I click on Uploads, Import ADIF, then Choose File.
At this point I can select the option Media picker
Thanks @VK1AO yes that’s what I do currently, my question is how to avoid the cloud storage altogether? So my file goes from the app, to my device, to sotadata.
That’s, yes @KI2D I do have that app already, and it shows up as an option to share to. When I click on it to share to, nothing happens. When I search for the file in the app, nothing appears. Does it work for you?
Saving to Cloud Storage on your device is indeed saving to the local file system on the device. It’s just that you get the extra benefit of having access from another device.
