Just curious what people have done here in the past when having multiple stations operating and multiple logs going at once.
This year for field day I’d like to log separately using my own rig and antennas for my club (just to give us a better chance) and was going to use Ham2k since it seems to offer Winter Field Day as a supported “contest”.
How do you guys combine logs together at the very end? I assume we will probably have 2 or 3 logs going at the end of the day. Not sure if someone has software they recommend to combine or if contests can take multiple adif files.
I assume for dupes we won’t have a huge awesome networked database going so if we have a dupe, we just ignore it in the end.
As far as multiple submissions are concerned, you’d have to contact the admins.
As far as combinations are concerned, you could export then import 2 of the logs into ADIF then from ADIF, into one PoLo operation, then export from there.
You could also merge the 3 into ADIF Master, then do an ADIF to Cabrillo conversion if that is what’s needed.
In most cases, you can submit the log containing dupes and they will just be rejected/ignored. Removing the dupes yourself will only allow you to get a score yourself that may be correct. But at the end of the day, the contest admins are the ones who score the log and their decision is usually final.
