Using password managers for the credentials within Polo

Hi there

How do I go ahead to have the Bitwarden password manager fill in the credentials of the data sources used by Polo like QRZ, Sotawatch etc.?

Thanks in advance and vy 73, Markus

The SOTAWatch login is a call to browser window which at least in my case, brings up my password manager. I do not have to enter a password each time. And SOTAWatch tokens expire so occasional re-login is required.

QRZ, on the other hand is a one off password entry and no browser is called for the authentication process. So at least in my case, I have no need for a password manager to be involved in QRZ credentials.

Does SOTAWatch not do the same for you? Or is it that you want Bitwarden specifically and not the default browser password manager? Perhaps you need to assign Bitwarden to your default browser?

Hi Alan

Thanks for your support. I had not realised that the recent Android update had turned off the browser support for Bitwarden and that I would have to reactivate it. This works fine now on opening the browser window for SOTA credentials.

The other two resources are easier to handle. I could do copy/paste there from Bitwarden.

I was able to have my password manager (1Password) enter my QRZ credentials, but I had to long-press on the login field, then press the “…” menu and select “Autofill”.

Can you try that?

I have not found that reliable since a SAMSUNG device requires the passwords to be in the Samsung manager and not a browser manager. Not everyone has their passwords across different password managers.

That didn’t work exactly this way for me - neither on iPhone nor on Android. But I am able to enter my Bitwarden Tresor via “…” > “Autofill”.
