User-defined fields for QSO tab of main operation screen

Modification request: I operate almost exclusively portable, so PoLo as a concept (logging with one hand on my phone while my other holds the HT I’m using) is great … but: I operate (so far) exclusively VHF and UHF. I do not contest, I don’t use LOTW, my contacts are generally stations a few tens of km away. They are often portable also, so their callsign’s QRZ page is useless as an autolookup, and the CQ/ITU zone is too broad an area to be meaningful for my operation on the PoLo map feature. Consequently, I want to be able to:

  • customise the screen of the QSO tab in the current operation so that it features the following fields: Time; Frequency, Their Call, Sent, Rcvd, MH Locator (Grid) - manually entered, Notes

As of now, there does not seem to be a way of entering the MH Loc (Grid) without going into the Edit QSO screen; and thereis not (that I can see) an option to have PoLo reference MH Loc (Grid) as the Mapping dot for the other station.

Most of my operation is non-xOTA to date, so above is my majority base case for using PoLo. I would occasionally want to enable and make edits for XOTA schemes, but those fields can already be toggled on in the QSO tab of the main operation screen.

I don’t want to dampen your spirits in any way Rich, but the use case you describe is pretty much on the edge.
At the moment the application is being developed toward a desktop version, so a lot of time is being devoted to that.
This sort of thing could come down the track but it’s unlikely to happen very quickly.
After over a year of development the current protocol is meeting a very large portion of what people are interested in and what the initial application direction was focused on.
Just giving you a heads up to be patient on this request.
Alan

Thanks for the quick reply & I appreciate that I’m far from a typical user so understood on your reasoning and resource prioritisation.
