Question or idea. Does polo logger respot the operator when a hunter logs them? I know there is a self spotting option for the activator, but what about the hunter? Do I need to go to the pota.app website to spot, or can this be done within polo?

I have not added this feature yet, mostly because it can create confusion between “spot me” and “spot them”, and there’s not much room on screen (at least on phones) to address for that.
But part of future plans is to track with style of operation are you on, running (calling CQ) or hunting (aka search and pounce). At that point, we can easily add automatic spotting of P2P contacts while in hunting style.

I know I suggested this before so apologies for repeating myself… but when you click a contact to edit, the “Self Spotting” button is not active as you would expect in the current model
But if instead, the button was active with the text “Spot VK2DHN” (in this case)
I would not find any confusion in this meaning that I can spot this contact.

Hmm, maybe I was so focused on making this automatically that didn’t stop to think about this.
I’ll take a stab soon. (and feel free to keep reminding me about this idea if I forget)

no probs - I think this idea will have minimal impact on the screen design and all the info is right there in the edit screen to do the spot other than a comment.
