Self Spot issue, the first time

Hi Dev Team

When I first spot myself it defaults to QRV but you can’t delete this text or add my own text to it
If I self spot with the default text I can then instantly re-spot myself with my own text.
I often will spot when I first start with info like I’m QRP etc.

Hold your finger on the back button for a second and the QRV will disappear.

Thanks Alan, that works.
Looking at the way the QRV judders I’m guessing this isn’t a design feature :grinning:

Also why do know why orange number keys vibrate, but the regular keyboard number don’t?

Somethings, like this, are an artifact of the framework used for the app. It can change slightly from framework version to version, Others, can be accommodated.
The extra numbers key row is not part of the native OS keyboard so it can behave differently.

I wish I had known this for my two activations today. I could not remove the characters ‘QRV’ the field was locked.

Edit: just tried the back button option on my iPhone and it doesn’t work, the QRV remains in the field. The spot comment field is completely locked with no ability to edit my own comment

On IOS you can spot with the default QRV then instantly re-spot with any text you want.
