School Club Roundup

A couple of weeks ago, I went to our local middle school and talked to the science classes about amateur radio and used our club call for School Club Roundup. The kids had a great time and didn’t want to go to their next class. I used N3FJP on my windows laptop and it works great, but the interface is boring and the map of the qso is just a colored in state. Would it be possible to develop the template for School Club Roundup as it’s 2x a year. 99% of all of the youth are FLUENT in mobile device formats and there is the “cool” effect that it would have as well. I know I could have done a general log and used my tablet, but needed my laptop for some other things I had for the students as well such as Winlink, since I cannot get the setting right for my HT and WOAD.

The program is great and can’t wait to see what else you have planned for it. 73, and Hope to see you in my log sometime. KO4LFZ

Of course!

Can you give me more info, what’s the exchange, what are the logging requirements, etc?

The exchange is simple, Signal Report, State, Class (I=Individual, C=Club, S=School Club) Some of the groups also exchange operator names.

Man, too bad that we missed the February one. I blame you for not letting me know sooner. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Adding this should be really simple. But I’m going to put it on the back of the queue for now since the next one is in October.

If you haven’t seen me bring it up by August, feel free to remind me.
