Even though sync is disabled, when opening the sync settings page, the QSOs/operations are automatically synced. It would be nice if the default was set to off.
Many people have had their data saved and returned to them after application bugs have struck. The data is sent to the Lofi server for you protection.
If you wish to take the risk completely yourself, you can turn OFF “Share App usage Data” and “Share Operation Data” in the Privacy section of General Settings.

I already had those two options disabled as well as the sync, but the QSOs/operations were still synced.
Let me see if I can reproduce this.
