Persistent Warning Message

Just downloaded and installed PoLo on an HP Chromebook, so far so good.
I tried to make a test activation for a nearby dual POTA/SOTA site.
Every keystroke I make pops up a window:
Warning: Not logged into SOTAWatch for self spotting. Please go to PoLo setttings.

Instead of popping the window up for EVERY KEYSTROKE, how about a button to take me to the appropriate setting?
Maybe I don’t want to log into SOTAWatch, or don’t have service to self spot.

It seems like I finally have a pretty useful app for this old Chromebook.

This particular warning will not appear with every keystroke in the next update.
But to solve your problem right now…
Adding a SOTA activity to your operation implies that you need to spot yourself.
And to spot yourself you must be logged in.
You do not, however, need to be logged in to get SOTA spots.
There is no need to add a SOTA activity to your operation if all you want to do it hunt SOTA.
So removing the activity (not just removing the summit) or logging in will remove the warning and as I say, the warning will be handled better next update.

You can also log into SOTA when you are, in fact, online and leave it there. The log in token remains valid for some time.

Thanks, I did log in and the warning went away.
Most of the SOTA locations I’ve been to have no cell/internet service, so self spotting isn’t possible.
A better place for the warning would be when you add SOTA to the activation, maybe a check box for self spotting yes/no.

I’m sure you will be satisfied with the next version.
