March is here, with lots of goodies!!! Look for this update in your favorite app store.

  • QSO Parties: OK, ID, WI, VA, LA, MS, MO, NM, ND, GA, NE, MI, FL, OH, PA
  • Generic Simple Contest activity
  • Export settings, with templates
  • Stacking partial calls (use // or .. to stack calls)
  • Use spots to prefill QSO references
  • Option to hide deleted QSOs (as suggested by many)
  • Add Worked All Ireland squares (as suggested by EI2LH)
  • Guess correct WWBOTA default prefix, and other WWBOTA fixes
  • Fixed exports to GMail and other apps on Android

Maybe I’m just tired but what is call stacking or Stacking partial calls mean?

If you only hear partial calls you can stack the pieces separated by two slashes… then call them each back.
//1Ao//SSD//K3
and then you work back thru the stack

Excuse my ignorance, I don’t understand how this function of stacking is used in the app?

Can you provide examples and possible key stokes.

How do the stacked callsigns/partial end up as unique entries in the activator’s log?

Wait you mean like in a pile up if I hear someone start and with like “K7” and I hear someone end with “AA” I could do //k7//aa and then keep track of who I’m missing? If that’s what you’re saying that is going to be awesome! I generally can remember the other partials for about 30 nanoseconds before it falls out of my head…

UPDATE: Watched the video holy cow that is going to be helpful! Can’t wait to give it as try!

Hi Sebastián,
On my last trip to the park I wanted to take a screenshot of the qso map. Because I had contacts on different continents (North America, South America, Africa, Japan, New Zealand) I couldn’t fit all the qso’s in the screenshot. I think it would be useful to be able to zoom out more on the map so that the screenshot would include all the continents.

I’m afraid this is a limitation imposed by the mapping system, not a thing imposed by PoLo by choice.

You can tap the full screen button on the map

But you can still only get half the Mercator projection of the world map.

Yes, sadly this is a limitation of the map component we use. I have on my list a task to look for alternatives.

Howdy,
the stacking of partial calls is really a killer feature for me, excellent, In pile-ups I had to grab pen and paper, now I work the stack down and make I less painful for the hunters.

PoLo is already my Hunting Log of choice, when at home.
