Keyboard UI Bug with iOS 26

I just installed the iOS 26 public beta today and happened to be playing with PoLo this evening. I noticed that there is a consistent UI bug with the keyboard now that wasn’t there before I updated the OS. When the keyboard opens either within an operation or from the callsign lookup, the keyboard is appearing on top of the PoLo UI (in other words you can’t see what you’re doing). There is a temporary work around by tapping the globe icon.

If it helps I’m running a iPhone 16 Pro Max and did try to reboot the phone to see if that would help (no luck).
It’s possible this is an IOS 26 bug, but I haven’t seen it impact any other apps yet.

It’s also possible that this will need an update in React-Native before this is addressed.
Thanks for the workaround.
Alan

I’m not having that problem on iOS 26 public beta.

I had this same problem on a few summits over the past week. Wish I knew of the work around! (My work around was to close down POLO and reopen…) I ended up paper logging…

Been using the beta now for about a week. PoLo seems to be the only app with this issue that I’ve come across.

Additional information:

  • iOS26 is still on public beta 1
  • I have 3 keyboards available (iOS English/Italian, Emoji, and SwiftKey). The issue appears with both the iOS and SwiftKey keyboards.
  • I am running PoLo 25.7.4

I just did a POTA Activation and the issue was occurring. The workaround does work as a stop gap. Just an extra step to take.

Good news. Managed to figure out what was causing this, and should be fixed in the August release coming out next week. And if this gets delayed more than a few days, I’ll back-port the fix for a July patch.
