Today, Joe W4WJE and I met at US-0712 to exchange some ham gear. Since we both always travel with our POTA gear, we decided to activate with K2HRC. We were going to do only 10, but who can leave a pileup? I logged and Joe manned the key. Joe has been a ham since only 2022. He has come up to speed very fast and has built some of the best 49:1 efhw ununs Ive ever used. His unun is my goto for POTA when wires are an option. Joe taught himself CW this year and really did quite well in today’s pileup. I took some pictures of the activation. We used my 17’ frankenstein vertical. It’s made of parts from a few manufacturers and 4 magic blankets sewed together. 100+ activations have taught me a thing or two. Thanks for use of the club call.
