Idea: auto fill call sign when entering only some letters

For well known call signs (used in last x QSOs, last x days, prefilled list do call signs for auto completion, …) it would be cool to get a dropdown when only entering some letters.

e.g. when entering “CHD” the system should suggest “OE6CHD” and “OE6CHD/p” because I had lots of QSOs with him.

For 2m SOTA QSOs there are usually the same 10-15 call signs around my hometown. So it would be easier to only type the end of the call sign and omitting the country prefix.

Thanks for creating this cool piece of software I really like to use during my SOTA activations! Very helpful!

You could create a notes file containing abbreviations of popular callsigns with their expanded form as the name and PoLo will expand the abbreviation into the full call,

e.g. the entry

CHD OE6CHD,

would expand this to the full call ready for confirmation and entry

Thanks for the Info! I did not know about the expansion feature. I will try that!

Nevertheless an auto generated list could be helpful for the last x QSO call signs.
