Hunting Only Operation Activity?

I use Polo as my main logging app for both hunting and activating and love it, but I wonder if it is possible to add a Hunting Only operation activity? I am currently creating an operation with no specific activity too use when hunting, but while logging it shows 'Dupe" for activators who are logged in that operation, but on different days.

What I am thinking is an activity that would…

• Ignore ‘dupes’ that are not on the same day
• Allow respotting (could repurpose the self spotting button)
• Highlight needed parks for POTA and maybe WWFF

Maybe other hunting specific features?

I use PoLo for portable operations and this is how the mission for PoLo was initiated.
I also use it for hunting when I am not activating. I simply hit the new operation button to start one for the day. Yes, you would get a Dupes warning if your operation goes over UTC days, but this warning only and can just be ignored, it won’t stop you logging. You can just considered it a reminder.

As for re-spotting of other OPs, this feature is already underway:

I’d like to re-visit this request. I often work someone with no coverage so they cannot spot themselves. I confirm all their details to record the QSO so I am in a good position to spot them. So, once recorded, I can re-edit the QSO and the Self-Spotting button is disabled at this point. Highlighting needed parks may come in the future after the full desktop version comes out. There may be ways of keeping your needed parks available and sending that list to the device.

It may happen but it won’t be here very quickly.

Thanks for the response! You’re right, it doesn’t stop me from logging, but it is unnecessary and a bit annoying, at least to me. I thought that my suggestion would make the so better for hunters.

As I suggested, there are some us who just tap “New Operation” on a new day and hunt for the day. That means no “Dupe” warnings… it’s just one tap and you go. Also keeps the day separate.

There is nothing wrong with your suggestion.
PoLo currently has a long list of things it is moving ahead with.
I’m just letting you know that this is a feature that would require a fair amount of work and as such has a long lead time ahead of it. Especially when the task of Hunting is currently not hindered in any way in the current version of the application.

A desktop version is currently being worked on by Sebastián, and I think the need for something like a hunting mode will quickly go up the priorty list
