Is there a way to record my location when entering a qso without having to back out of the qso entry screen. Would be nice if it auto filled or at least had an [update location] button right in the qso entry area. I often use mobile so the easier the better.
An interesting requirement. The short answer is no.
But the long answer is also no since being operation based, the grid you set is for the operation. So if you have a General Operation set for Grid 1, then enter a QSO, then some time later enter another QSO and in doing so, back out to change YOUR grid.. after the second QSO is saved, the first will also have the new Grid as its location. When you export the QSOs in an operation it only has the one grid, the grid set in the operation location.
The only way, at this time, to save a separate grid PER QSO, would be to start a new operation per QSO.
It would not, otherwise, be a very simple change to make to allow every QSO have its own grid origin.

I can only comment on Android.
There are multiple applications that give Live Grid, Lat/Long, Altitude and National Grid(UK)
Like: Grid Square Locator, Easy QTH, OS Locate for WAB(Worked All Britain)
I’m not a programmer, but the GPS Data on the device can be converted to a Grid Square.
But How.? Do you get that “Current” Grid into the PoLo “Grid Field”
Tap location then you can choose between device grid or activity/park grid.. or you can just type the grid into the location field.
