[Feature Request] Option for basic start screen

Greetings Sebastian!

I’ve heard from several people that would rather have a basic startup screen than to see the art for the splash screen.

Although I can see why some people don’t care for it, I do like having it there; So maybe a checkbox in the options to allow a basic splash screen would be good for those people?

Thanks for bringing these reports.

Sadly, it’s not easy to make this screen optional. Because of the way both Android and iOS provide for apps to include these, the image is loaded even before the code for the rest of the app.
