August '25 release

The August '25 release is out!!!

  • Fixed crashes on 32-bit Android devices
  • North American QSO Party (NAQP)
  • Experimental support for WaveLog (by K0UWU)
  • Performance improvements (by NA7DO)
  • Allow WWBOTA across borders
  • Fix ‘unknown park’ for new POTA references
  • Add SiOTA spots support via ParksnPeaks (by M1SDH)
  • Add Canadian Historical Sites on the Air (by M1SDH)

The most important is that we seem to have fixed the problem that was causing crashes on a good number of Samsung and Lenovo tablets and phones. If you had to install the “Lite” version of PoLo, it’s time to try the regular version again.

How can I provide regarding this feature - knowing, that it is in an experimental status?

Not sure what you are asking. Are you asking how you can use this experimental feature? Or how you contribute to the development of it?

Hi Alan,

I figured out how to activate it. And I am using it. i am expecting, that user feedback from early adopters would be helpful for the development, if this is the case, I would like to provide such - knowing that it is an experimental feature. But I woule like to know:
a) is this actually already helpful?
b) how should I provide such feedback? I did not want to open a new thread without having asked.

I hope this clearifies my question a little bit better.

Thank you!

Lucas

OK - no, there is no need to do anything unless you discover something that is not working as expected.
Obviously this is not a forum for Wavelog. They have their own forum. So matters which pertain to how Wavelog is working should be taken there.
But if e.g. you found the sending of QSOs not to work when it should, then raise it here.

Thank you @VK1AO I created a topic for the issue I ran into, and keep my thoughts and ideas besides the issues at an low level.

Thank you so much for this update. It’s now working again on all my tablets.

Thank you team! This app goes from strength to strength. Really appreciate all the work that goes into such a comprehensive tool. Used on over 60 SOTA Activations in 2025.
