Android tablet not updating

Hello;

I have a Android tablet that is not updating. I click “Check for Updates” and it comes back with “No updates available”. My tablet is a Samsung Tab A running Android 11. My current release is: July 25 (patch 5) Release, 25.7.5, Base Build 25.7.6251. My other Android devices have updated correctly. Should I try and re-install the app? If so, will I loose any log data that I have on my tablet? Thanks! 73

Where are you clicking to check for updates? Typically the monthly updates come from the App Store not the app itself.

Yes, I was clicking the “Check for Updates” on the app. since I knew a new release had come out.

OK, well I updated it from the Google Play Store and that worked fine. I guess that’s how I’ll do it from now on. Thanks for the note!

You need to vary it. Major updates will need the PlayStore. There are also minor updates which come thru via prompt at app startup.
There is also the ability to “Check Updates” on a particular “stream”.
Using just one method will not always give the result you want.
These are the vagaries of PlayStore versioning and update control.
