Adding HEMA scheme

Hello.

I wondered if it had been discussed about adding the HEMA scheme? Nothing found on the forums but perhaps there has been elsewhere?

HEMA is like SOTA but for hills with 100-150m of prominence (SOTA is 150m or more). From the site:

HEMA stands for HuMPs Excluding Marilyns Award. A HuMP is a summit that has Hundred Metre Prominence, meaning that it sticks up above the surrounding land by at least 100m. A Marilyn is a summit with 150m prominence. HEMA then is an award for HuMPs with a prominence of less than 150m. Marilyns have their own award scheme through SOTA.

There are over 9000 summits (insert internet meme here) across 30-odd DX entities. A nice summary map for your info is here.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks.

I have asked for the HEMA database to be exported for use but there seems to be no uptake on the idea from the organisers.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that. Perhaps I’ll ask and see!

Maybe a few people asking will prompt some action.

I hope so. I’d like to pitch it as a way for people who like activating outdoors to discover HEMA. There are a few schemes that have been added to the polo app that I didn’t know about and when I saw them it sent me off to investigate.

What I asked for (what we need) is an export - preferably regularly exported - of a list of sites similar to the list for POTA. Like this:
https://pota.app/all_parks_ext.csv
And it needs to be published as a publicly accessible resource.

I am told that currently there is no such download even irregularly.

Good Luck
