A Few Bugs

Today is the 1st I’ve been out in 2.5 months so my apologies for not contributing to the group. Tomorrow’s another follow up visit to the foot and ankle doctor and hopefully I’ll start physical therapy this week.

So on my iPhone & iPad on the latest beta the map isn’t working properly in that the lines aren’t drawing on the map. I’ve also noticed that the dots are no longer sized based on the signal strength. On my iPad I was able to revert to a previous version then back to the latest beta and the lines are drawing, tried the same with my iPhone and the lines still aren’t drawing. On my iPad every time I come back to the app after it’s been opened it flashes twice between light & dark mode screen. I have it set to device scheme (light during day & black during night).

As far as the lines are concerned. You say no lines on one device but lines on the other.
Can you confirm that the device with no lines actually has YOUR gridsquare set for the operation in question?

Yes here are some screenshots.

OK then I have no ideas. You have Mapbox which is the new version. You have your own grid and obviously the other stations have their grids which are not just country or state specific.
I don’t have iOS devices so I cannot comment on them. But I have not had issues with map lines on my 2 Android devices.
I do not record signal reports so all my dots are the same size. I cannot comment on that either.
Maybe @KI2D Sebastian has an idea.

The dot size based on signal reports is (temporarily) not a feature. It got lost when we migrated to mapbox maps and I haven’t had a chance to re-implement it.

But the missing lines is quite odd.

And the dark/light flashing on ipads has been reported by a few users and I’m investigating.

Like I said I’ve been out of commission for 2.5 months and yesterday was the 1st activation I’ve done since February 7th. They are just things that I’ve noticed since my absence and figured I’d report them. I’m sure the line thing will get straightened out on the next update.
