How can I delete a template in Polo?
The last holidays have helped to make the green template list long. How can I simplify that by deleting old template that I wouldn’t use again?
Polo brings only the last ones with the possibility to expand to the full list. But, as said, the list is long, and the small screen and other onsite pressure help hitting the wrong one.

ATM, the last one you use will come to the top next time. So just choose the one you want and it will be faster to get the next time.

If you cannot tolerate them being there even though they are hidden behind the “Show More Templates” action, then you can delete the Operations which are responsible for them being in the list.

Thanks Alan for showing a possible alternative. But, considering the variety of activations on my log collection, it needs a good amount of guess which are the related ones, hi.

I noticed Sebastian some time ago about it … it’s bothering me that the templates are always on top in the screen …. I never use them so the templates are taking screen space that can be used a lot more usefull for me personal … An option to “hide or show” templates in the scraan would be very welcome …
They are only there momentarily - as soon as you close and re-open the operation they are gone. What would you want to use this area in their place?

I’ve had a new callsign since May. I’ve done 51 activations under the new callsign, and obviously zero under my old one but the template still pushes my old callsign to 5 of the 8 recommended templates. Of the three correct callsigns, 2 are buried at the bottom of the list, but I regularly cycle through all 3 templates.
I do wish there was a way to hide the old callsign, or at least bury it to the bottom of the list instead of the templates I regularly use.
Yes - seems like a sorting issue.
Do you open the wrong template and correct it? Or do you just create a new Operation and fill it in with activation details?
I only wonder because opening an incorrect template, then correcting it, may not set the use date for the corrected setup. It will set a use for the incorrect setup. Whereas starting a brand new Operation and setting it up will send the incorrect ones to the bottom.

Typically I expand, scroll down, and select the most accurate template. I almost always use the “nearest” template for SOTA, POTA, and SOTA/POTA.
That said, there have been a couple times over the last few months where I miss the correct button and have to correct callsign/activation type. Can’t claim perfection, but it is a very rare mistake.
Edit to add: I just created 12 new operations in a row, each time selecting one of the 3 correct current templates. It doesn’t change the position of suggestion 2-6, which are the incorrect callsign. Only the top suggestion, which then buries the previous “top suggestion” at number 6.

I got a new phone today and utilized developer mode to transfer my database to the new device. I was hoping that doing so would also resolve this bug where my old callsign is continuously pushed up in the sorting order, but the bug is still present unfortunately.
I have made some mistakes because I have a new Callsing and some templates have my old callsing I woulk like to know how to delete all of them
